NYEAA was founded in 2022 by a passionate group of NYC-area runners with roots in Ethiopia. Born out of a shared desire to stay connected — to each other, to their culture, and to their adopted city — NYEAA quickly grew into a vibrant association that bridges heritage and community life in New York.
